Hi all,

ANyone happen to know why my death sequences cause mt demo to crash?
I am using Lightwave, and LW2DTS from gnometech and all of my other anims
and there sequence #s play just fine. when I kill my character, It all crashes!

I have been trying to read what I can about the death sequences, but not much I have found. could they be a blended anim????? hope not......

FYI:

I have all the sequences and there names in the player.cs
I have a player select screen working, and the diehead.dsq works in there
when i load it instead of the root. it even playes in show tool.?????

thanks all,

have fun,

jOnathOn

I dont know too much about this, but maybe there's a problem with the bounding box? When your player dies, his changing orientation (falling to the ground) might cause problems if the bounding box is not properly set up....

Maybe try narrowing the problem down... by exporting part of the sequence only.... or maybe create a different death sequence and see if it happens again.

Sorry, maybe I misunderstood.... you didnt make the animation sequence yourself? Is your character adapting to the existing demo animations?

I can tell you that I got it working without much trouble, if its any consolation, you can see here (at the bottom):

I used Milkshape to export the character.

Thanks Will,

I found the answer last night, you should read it, if you have a custom
player that doesn't use the default Orc, Carl, etc structure.

Near the bottom you will find the answer.

Nice character BTW.

That crossbow seems a bit to BIG....hehe

P.S. Do read the link, will save you hours of headaches.

You need to animate the bounding box just a little
had exactialy the same problem!
