DeleD 3D modeller and mapper

Hi y'all,

I'd like to introduce DeleD to the Torque community if it's not already known. It's a freeware modeller with a nice interface, that you can easily get a grip on.

It might be interesting for this here community especially because a .map exporter is in development right now (fresh off the press :-). Since I contribute I'd like to make this exporter as 'Torque'ish as possible, but it will most propably suit other engines, too.

Maybe you'd like to have a look here for more infos and downloads:
DeleD at http://www.delgine.com

Regards,
Dirk

No, I didn't stop, and yes, I am still working on it.

I just changed the format of the exporter from a native DeleD plugin to an external dmf2map converter (where dmf is the native DeleD file format). This may be confusing but as a background information: the DeleD plugin architecture basically loops in the dmf file of the model to the model. So I chose to take the model information directly.

Why? Because this way you only save a model your model in DeleD and the the converter 'watches' and takes action. Saves a bunch of mouseclicks and time.

Cool can't wait for it been workig with deled for making building and stuff, i find it quite easy to make thing on it as i'm used to milkshape and max.
So can't wait to get that converter, if you need test i'm alway available. :)

Thanks, Hugo.

I might call your favour because so far I had little response of the people using the former plugin (with some notable exceptions: thanks, Ken!).

Dirkk,
I, too, have been using the old plugin with Deled to some extent. I have been very happy with it, so if you need additional testing done on the new converter, I would be happy to oblige as well.

Im am currently working on purchasing torque and i am very happy about the
plug in because i have been using deled for a very long long long time ;-). I love working with it it easy to use and very rapid. I can design a compex level with it in a matter of hours I love it. This will be great for when i purchase torque.

Good to hear!

Please keep in mind that you can testdrive the DeleD->map->Torque creation pipeline even before you buy Torque, so you can find out if the integration is sufficient.

How do you do that just curios i have downloaded the demo and scanned the forums, tutorials i was curios about how the engine works to if anybody is willing to help me make a desicion because this seems to be the best engine besides unreal i have used alot of engines to almost all of them exept for unreal. This engine reminds me of the doom engine which was a hard task to get that but any way. how easy of interface and how fast is development i have tried to create my own engine but failed at it be cause of the complexity it takes to create a decent engine that everybody can use and with the futures that torque offers is great and are the tools really custamizable to suite my needs and how well does it import milkshape files because i also love milkshape.
