RTS Code Pak Status?

Near the end of July I was very excited to learn the an RTS code pak was in development. I was under the impression it was close to release, but all seems to have been quiet for the last month. Is it possible to get an update? Thanks again.

Sometimes it's just amazing how much work goes into making something like this. :)

You are correct. When the interns left, work kind of stalled. This necessitated some schedule rebalancing - that's been done and starting Friday we'll be putting time into it once again.Sometimes it's just amazing how much work goes into making something like this. :)

This'll be awesome, moving RTS and TSE together would be like a dream... RTS with Shaders? Never heard of one :DLets be the first to make it happen GG :D

Its in de works. As one of the interns I admit I've fallen out of the picture for a bit during my move home and subsequent move back to college. In addition to the guys at GG I should have some time starting about Friday as well. I want to see it done as much as you all do, and it should be in the near future.

@Sam: Perimeter looks like it has shaders, but I saw it on the back of PC Action so I'm not sure.

I'm betting we'll hear more after IGC (or during for those who are attending). I'm sure the office is extremely busy getting prepared.

Thanks much for the interest guys. I promise that as soon as there's anything significant to talk about, you'll hear about it. To note: we have received and incorporated some absolutely kickass art from the community and are incorporating it into the demo. Beyond that, there just hasn't been time lately to work on this much, but that won't be the case after IGC.

We had it as a preview and did show it off at IGC. It appears close to code complete and ready for a beta soon. Now for finishing documentation and the demo. We're still finalizing on price and working to get it ready to ship.

I meant 'ship' the beta... and prepping can take weeks so don't hold your proverbial breath we've got a lot on our plates, but RTS is high on the list of products we want to get out the door. Code packs require a larger commitment to support (including some ongoing updates) so we're looking at about the same level as the Lighting code pack.
