Hello, I am a game designer looking for work. I am expeerienced with story line writing and design doc writing. I am also a good plot formulater and can create smooth cut scene plots.
I will work for pay($ can be negotiated) unless 2-4 experienced game programmers are already on the team.
Please contact me at seze8@excite.com.
Thanks,

Firstly, you cannot fool me by saying your a writer, when you have all these spelling errors and sentence structure developed poorly. Secondly, you need to provide more information in what you're able to give to a professional team. It looks to me like you want to get on a well developed team, while yourself is not so well developed.

One thing I'd like to point out which may be helpful to up and coming game designers (like myself), don't exagerate your experience level. It will turn people away from you rather then draw them in. Unless you have a couple of published, successful games or have produced some high quality mod work you are not an advance or skilled game designer. Not that you don't have the chance to be but with no way to judge your level of work how can you say that you are extremely good at it.

That being said, how do you get employment as a game designer if no one thinks your good at it. Work samples are usually critical to getting a job so when you post something like this and expect the employer to be the one actively searching you out be sure to have your work samples easily available either via e-mail or posted on a website should you have one. The harder you make samples to find, the harder it will be to get an employer to notice you.

'But I've never produced a game before because I haven't had a team to work with'. Not a problem. Practice your writing. Write some short stories and post them as work samples. Write down some ideas for games and follow up on them by writing plots and developing characters. Theses don't neccessarily have to be used but they will give you some valuable skills for game dev. Once again you can post these as work samples. You have nothing to loose by practicing. All practicing will do is either point out that you really don't have what it takes or help you get better and eventually be hired.

To quote Red Green "I'm pulling for you. We're all in this together."
