A man walks into a bank and hands the teller a small piece of paper. Written on it the words, "Don't try anything stupid!" the robber then shows the teller his gun demanding money. Teller gives him all the money she could and the criminal walks cleanly out of the bank.

...On the back of the piece of paper he gave the teller was his name and address!!
True story!

I wonder if this is the same guy?

Ya gotta love it. In his description, at the very top of his EBay page, it says "Quantity available: 9". Then 11 lines later, down in the copy he plagiarized from GG, it says (GG says, mind you) "Limit: 1 per customer".

Off with his head. He's not using it anyway.

This really makes me mad. I had to save money for the engine. I'm a college student. And most of the time college students don't have money. If I had to save the money for a real licence. Every one else should have to. I have looked at a lot of open source engines and none were up to par with the torque engine. I hope that something is done about this.

I just cut off his access to the Torque section of the site. Our EULA clearly states that Torque is not transferrable. Our EULA also clearly states that there are no guarantees of updates or forum access, so cutting him off is within our rights.

It is not worth pursuring with legal action, but man, I would love to see scum like that fry.

Anyone that is interested in getting this item pulled off ebay should simply contact ebay and inform them of the violation.

Contact them here: http://pages.ebay.com/help/contact_inline/index.html

Item number in question: 3683655106

I agree, scum like that should fry.

I could make an excuse for one being a mistake, where the person didn't read the EULA and know it was non-transferable. But I think someone mentioned he had nine?

Yes he has 9 copies available and is selling them for 50bucks each. The sale has been going on for at least a month (from the "last revised" to the page which was over a month ago) and the current one ends 14-Sep-2004.

I wonder if some of the people who didn't own the engine and were asking engine questions on the public forums were this mans "customers"?
