Gamma Hell

Argh with my lcd with dvi(not sure this is the cause), I get extremely washed out screen all the time, and it's so frustrating, I set the value you int the config to 0, and it still does it. Sometimes when I change screen resolutions bit depth combo's, and play around with it, I can get normal, but it's a pain, and other times I can't.

Are you sure this is not your hardware?

Print Screen doesn't capture your "screen", it just captures what the GFX card shows to the monitor, in simply words. Are you sure this is not your hardware?

I haven't had this happen on any other game ever, Doom 3 works fine, my old engine works fine, every thing I have ever played has worked fine except this engine, for whatever reason. BTW, I have reason to believe that you are incorrect about the gamma, I have seen this before, when I put gamma stuff in my other engine, it never seemed to grab the gamma corrected screen, this was the case on other machines as well as this one. For what it's worth my video card is ATI 9800 pro, cat 4.8's, WinXP. Humm, I think if I reboot, and the first time I run it it's fine, all other times after that it seems as though it's messed up. Humm, I have an older version that seems to work fine, damn I don't know, maybe it's amplified by the lighting pack changes I made.

But you can still use it, you have to open the tweak panel go into Game Util->Per Game Options, and uncheck Save gamma/bright/cont, and it should work, well it did for me.

Well I figured it out, any ATI guys out there that use Rage3D Tweak beware, this was the culprit. But you can still use it, you have to open the tweak panel go into Game Util->Per Game Options, and uncheck Save gamma/bright/cont, and it should work, well it did for me.
