Its okay tho your not giving me enough for a name. Such as can I get more of the story all i can tell you is that the game be fighters that is based in the land of pupets then the name could be seseme knights.

Yeah, I'd try to hash out more of the story and other aspects of the game first, then come back to the name.

Everyone has their own ideas... There are plenty of articles around that follow the topic of "So you have your game idea. Now what?". Go read some of those. And to cut a long story short, start learning to program. You might want to consider starting with a mod. There is a huge amount of great resources for beginners for the UT2004 engine for example (due to their mod competition).

I wouldn't start with such a big game...

Start with something smaller and easier to finish.

The word abandonware is ringing in my ears.... MAKE IT STOP!

4 players, some armor and weapons is not "such a big game" IMO.

What I was thinking was a small 2d platformer or tetris... something like that.

Maybe 3D tetris... ;)

It depends what they're better at. If they're better at making models and graphics, then I think what they're suggesting is easier... on the other hand, if they're better at coding, then 3D tetris may be easier.

Models and graphics alone won't make a game...

@Andrew
Agreed but code alone won't sell it :)

A game with decent code and crappy models can still be a good game. A game with nice artowrk and crappy code is not worth the trouble. Bad art can easily be replaced, bad code cannot.

From previous experience, my guess is the game idea that inspired this thread has died by now anyway...

Sounds like a developer talking :)

To be a little more coder/artist-agnostic... Bad gameplay can't be easily fixed. Bad art or bad code can.

A little Cable Guy reference..
