MBG glitch

Once i was playing MBG and somehow got ALL of the advanced levels unocked without even doing one of them.
I have no idea how :)

If you have cheats mode enabled (type $testCheats=1; in the console (which you open with the ~ key)) You can access any level. Also there is a secret spot in the corner of the level loading screen that you can click to make that level available to you. Maybe you clicked that by accident?

At any rate. Just running a level and completing it with it enabled seems to unlock a bunch of levels (as far as I recall).

If you get the Super Jump on the first platform and then jump on top of the triangle bumpers, then activate the Super Jump, you'll go "Out of Bounds", although you fall back down and hit the ground again.
Just a weird thing that I found one day.

Here's an odd glitch on the advanced level "Twisting the Night Away"If you get the Super Jump on the first platform and then jump on top of the triangle bumpers, then activate the Super Jump, you'll go "Out of Bounds", although you fall back down and hit the ground again.
Just a weird thing that I found one day.

There are a couple levels where you can go upwards out of bounds if you try hard enough...

If you can't open the the level editor with the ~ key (like if you have a iBook G4) you can also use the F10 key.

That happned to me too. I pressed ~ or ' then I exited it, then poof! All the levels were there!

I am an "old" woman who really likes to play marble blast gold on my new laptop, but I am stuck on finding the 8th gem on the beginning level 24 (told you I'm old...). Is there anything I turn on to give me directions on where to find those elusive gems? Thanks - BV

Perhaps you can let us know which gems you picked up (the seven) and by deduction, we can figure out which gem is giving you trouble.
Or, you can go to the Hint Book and seek advice there. Mr. McFadden has some excellent tips as well as others.
Now, for the matter of being 'old,' you are NEVER too old to play MarbleBlastGold. But, you must be a 'kid at heart.'
I gather you qualify, since you are still playing.
Good luck and if you need further assistance, I'll try to help you track down the recalcitrant gem.

Welp, seeing as you can pick up gems in any order you want, the '8th gem' in this level doesn't have any significance. Perhaps you can let us know which gems you picked up (the seven) and by deduction, we can figure out which gem is giving you trouble.
Or, you can go to the Hint Book and seek advice there. Mr. McFadden has some excellent tips as well as others.

2. Gem on "super-jump" platform.
3. Gem on moving platforms.
4. Gem on gyrocopter platform.
5. Gem in "underground minefield".
6. Gem on shock absorber platform.
7. Gem upside down. The way to get upside down is to the right of the tornado.
Those are all eight!
