.map editor

Hi,

I know that people have talked about this subject but I couldn't find any answers.
Is there a .map editor for a non-windows OS available (i.e. linux and or os x) except gtkradiant?

You can run Quark under WINE. I think that's about it. We are actively pursuing solutions in this area.

Okay, last time I tried running Quark under WINE it didn't work.
But that was a while ago and the WINE project is always getting better. Maybe I should give it a try.

Or, I could try to write a cross platform .map editor (using wxWidgets).
hmmm... I need to read about the .map format first I think.
