Main Menu graphics fubar'd

OK I used to play a lot, stoppped playing adn I decided to play again. So I installed Marble blast again, but before I had a Geforce 3 ti 200 and since then I've upgraded to a Sapphire ATI radeon 9800 pro (128mb). Now after the splash screens load the whole screen goes black. I can see the menu only because of the alpha channel behind the mouse corner actually showing the menu. Everything else is black. If someone tels me how to take a screenshot I'll take one if that isn't descriptive enough. Anyone have any idea why? Once I get into the actual game it is fine, it is only the menus.
