Package Your Games Professionally!

by Nick Merrill · in Jobs · 07/23/2004 (3:18 pm) · 5 replies

Want to distribute a CD, but all you have is a burner and a sharpie? Get your game packaged in a professional jewl case, with a CD label and even a panflit inside! And the great part is, they're all indie prices. We'll even design it all AND package it for 50 dollars for 30, and only a dollar a CD after that. That's pretty good :)

Email me at upquark@pacbell.net or reply here with your contact info if you want to get your game packaged.

You mean a pamphlet?

Define "professionally" for me... a short paragraph, with grammatical and spelling errors, an e-mail address, and a request for "send me money." Maybe it's just me, $50 or not, I'm looking for something a bit more profesional.

Sorry, English isn't my first language. Lay off.

Besides obvious nitpicking on insignifigent things that don't obstruct your comprehension of what I'm trying to say, if you'd like to see some examples of my previous work, head over to www.goldbullet.com. Email me if you'd like to see other art or creative design of mine.

The problem is, that your post, reflects on the service you are trying to sell. If you are trying to promote a service that prides itself on "Professional Packaging at Indie Prices" then your post should reflect that.

I can understand the fact that english is not your first language, but you could have typed the post up in a Word Processor and used a spelling / grammer checker.

Hmm. While English may not be your first language, your website doesn't give anyone a warm and fuzzy:

1. "We can design an interface for any application you need, fast and cheaper than leading professionals". It speaks nothing of quality, which personally is what I look for.
2. Your porfolio page says coming soon which doesn't help sell your image or promote confidence.
3. On the list of projects page "Son of the Oracle" takes me to a "coming soon" page and GoldCampus takes me to a broken link.

Also in principle, the idea may be good any software publisher is probably going to provide these services with whatever distribution deal you get. I mean, if anyone purchased your service they would just have a stack of CDs and nothing to do with them?

Just my 2 shekels.
