Getting a model into Torque

by Entr0py · in Site Feedback · 10/09/2001 (3:34 pm) · 3 replies

I have tried just about everything i could find on this site and others to get a 3d model of any kind into the torque engine and have failed at every turn. The 3dsmax plugins do not work at all even though i am using max3. i downloaded milkshape and none of the exporters worked. I dont particularly think worldcraft is suitable for high end modelling, and it crashes when I try to run a level anyway. I would like to know how to do this.

From looking at the posts over the past couple of months you guys at garagegames state that file conversion is a top priority. Any word on how this is going?

You need to do the Milkshape export on a Win 2k machine. It was created by someone from the community.

Don't have Max, so can't help you there, and don't need worldcraft so ditto.

But I have seen many other models for this, so I know others are getting them done.

How about dropping in the chat room, maybe if I am there I can do a quick MS export for ya?

<-- Feeling damn glad he spent that 100 bucks ;)

only one problem....all the models are invisible.
