Just ordered GPO

I just ordered Garritan Personal Orchestra. I've been told that this little gem is worth every penny. You can run it through a MIDI controller keyboard and just load and play instruments. It comes with Cubasis VST 4 which is a bonus since Cubasis VST 4 is worth a fair bit on it's own (I think from memory about $80-100US). GPO is a good way to start getting into composing your own music and it's great for game audio.

I realize this last post is pretty ancient, but as a fellow GPO user, I have to attest to how amazing it is! I could not believe the sounds I was getting out of my computer -- check out their demos at http://www.garritan.com -- its unbelievable!Paul Bergel

GPO is also one of my favorite libraries. Unfortunately, its not all wine and roses with a few of the samples being not accurately "velocity enabled" (two nearby pitches, equal MIDI velocity, different volume) which produces an irritating effect.
However, for the price it is STELLAR, so I don't want you to think I'm bashing it at all. :) Just be warned about that and you will just have to volume/velocity track accordingly.
Have fun!
