I hope you will reconsider erasing your past posts, at least those not already erased. Most all of them contain info of great use to the rest of us.
Whatever happened, this does not hurt them, only us.
Thanks,

Well this is rather confusing, guess I'm missing a bit of back story as well... goodbye Josh, it was nice having you around, hope you find your way back here one day.

I for one will miss your forum activity.
In the end, the forums are just a bunch of text stored on a server somewhere; nothing important most of the time. Behind it are real people with real passions and that's what matters.
Josh, ignore the forums, delete the posts but don't give up the passion bud, that would be a crying shame.
All the very best for the future.
- Melv.

You will truely be missed here Josh.

I'm with Melv on this one. I mean Josh has helped indies everywhere and I know that many people listened and used his advice at some point in time or may be continuing to use it. I hope that everything works out for Josh and I hope he continues to visit the MaxGaming #garagegames channel because if he completely leaves the community, whether it be through the forums, irc, or whatever it is, the community itself has not only lost one of its members but they have lost probably one of the few members who can talk and help people based on his real life experiences and love for games. You will truely be missed here Josh.

I've seen Joshua Ritter delete forum posts several times, and I think it's completely unnaceptable behavour. You should be able to control yourself in the first place, it's a life skill, and deleting forum posts makes threads unreadable and simply shows you can't actually back up your argument. It is literally the internet equivalent of having an argument and then just saying "I'm right because you're ugly".

Joshua Ritter has been a very helpful person in the GG community, spending massive ammounts of time on resources which are hugely useful. However, just because you have done something good it does not make unnacceptable behavour more acceptable.I've seen Joshua Ritter delete forum posts several times, and I think it's completely unnaceptable behavour. Joshua underestimates his influence on these forums, simply because he has something most of us don't - real world game development experience.

I just want to let you know that I have read your posts and I thank you for the kind words.
I am not forsaking game development. Far from it, we are kicking some major booty. I am completely available to you via email or our forums. Just not here.
Now, would you please let this thread die... :)
Thanks,
-Josh

Most other forums I've been on either do not let you edit your posts at all, or lock them after 5 minutes, so you cannot do something like this.
Josh, if you're still reading this thread, please don't remove your posts and leave - for one the unique content and manner of your posts will be missed, and it's a shame you've not learned to curb your temper ;) I you're insistent on nolonger contributing then good luck to whatever you choose to fill the gap that these forums filled.

I personally think erasing posts in a forum to be a gross breach of netiquette(sp?), and in the process Josh has managed to make at least a couple of interesting threads almost unreadable due to his edits. Most other forums I've been on either do not let you edit your posts at all, or lock them after 5 minutes, so you cannot do something like this.

Otherwise, please don't email me asking "what's up". I have nothing to tell you. It's all plenty dumb.
Peace,

To be clear, I deleted like maybe, hm, 25 posts out of over 900? My temper was raised... and I have already acknowledged it as stupid. Otherwise, please don't email me asking "what's up". I have nothing to tell you. It's all plenty dumb.
Peace,

Well, I wish you much luck and success with MoM, Josh. You're of course doing lots of stuff very intelligently with it-- right-sized your life, leveraging good technology, being smart about promotion, etc-- so maybe it won't take much luck at all. I hope you and Prarie Games are well-rewarded for all your hardwork. At least keep us updated occassionally.

I don't intend on being active on these boards any longer. I bring fire and passion wherever I go... unfortunately, this sometimes follows thru when I leave.
I have had a great time these last few years... but now, I must move on. It's time.
