Insect Sounds

In southeastern U.S., the forests and fields during the summertime are almost constantly filled with the buzzing and droning of various kinds of insects. It's kind of annoying, but you get used to it as it is just part of the atmosphere. I couldn't even tell you what insect made what sound.
But I am looking for said sounds in a hopefully cheap package. Anybody know of an inexpensive sound pack that might have these kinds of nature sounds? Thanks!

Guess there's just not many folks here who have fussed with Sound FX libraries - or I've just got a very weird request :) I was watching "Deliverance" a couple weeks ago, and saying, "There's my sound! There's my sound, too! Dang, where'd they get their sounds?"

I'm sure if you hunt-and-pecked a bit more you could find better ones.
It's either this, or grabbing a portable recorder and go doing some field work...

I just did a Google for "insects sound fx pack" and here's the first website I got. Can't say they're any good, but the sounds are cheap.I'm sure if you hunt-and-pecked a bit more you could find better ones.

In my opinion, grab a recorder and head into the oppen. I'd much rather have original sounds in my game then recycled sounds. Just make sure that you are very quiet when recording, you don't want your voice showing up in the game.

Unfortunately, going out there might be something of a trick, as I'm in the wrong geographic location. Though if I get an excuse to do so during the right season... :)
BTW - on Sound FX in general, I'm using one of Mojo Audio's sound packs for Void War, and I remember back in the day when I worked for larger studios we had a HUGE library of stock sound effects. What are the best *CHEAP* Sound FX libraries out there right now for an independent game developer?

/\ I'm with strongly with Joe on this, if there is a way to record your own, do it do it.

A friend of mine put a contact mic on trees and got some really awesome sounds of ants moving around and clacking their jaws and such.
