Master Servers for Demo Not Working?

I've just been modding into my first TGE project using the Racing Starter Kit and it's very cool I must say. Unfortunately, I went to show my younger brother what I've done so far and hopefully play a little multiplayer but the game didn't list on the master server. Perhaps some of the changes prevent it from being listed? If so what sort of server side changes would prevent it from being listed?

Sometimes firewalls prevent the master server from listing your game. Did you try doing a lan game?

Make sure the port is correctly set.

The game uses port 8000 and the master server uses port 8002 by default.

That's incorrect. 28000 and 28002 are the ports used by default.
