Particles aren't working right on my comp!!!

here are my specs:
AMD K6-2 450Mhz
voodoo 3 2000

those should be all the specs you need.... tell me if you need other.. here's the problem.

screenshots on how the particles i made work on my friends computer (we both were on the same server, mine):

i reduced mine cause they're huge in bmp but you get hte point.. anyone have any idea? (BTW T2 particles worked fine for me in T2 but v12 particles won't);

weird. looks like youve got some problem with alpha testing. Are you running in 16 or 32 bit depth?

i have a voodoo3 can't go into 32

aha i found something out. My friend (spel, the one who took the good screenshots before) treid running it from a server and it did the same thing, and also worked great for me... any idea why?

Aha got it. YOu see eveyrone who i tlaked to could get it to work except me and my friend. Finally we found it out. You see eveyrone ASSUMED we knew we had to put it in server.cs =P
