I downloaded a demo of torque and try to run it on mac. I can see the scripts etc. but when I try too run the demo it crashes. I'm still thinking of buying a license. Should I buy the license for windows xp or mac os x. I like using my mac, I only used the windows pc if I have to like testing stuff.
My mac spec is:
emac 1.25 Ghz
1 Gig Ram
80 GHD
32 MB Video
My PC is:
Dell 8600 inspiron
Pentium M
40 GHD
256 M RAM
128 M video RAM (ATI Turbo).
Will Torque run on my mac and can I compile it using xcode.?
Please advise
Thank you

I have the Dell 7500 inspiron and I needed to buy a new grafix card just to warn you. I don't know if it will work on Dell 8600 inspiron.

Whoa... 1.25 Ghz and Pentium M (.8 Ghz). ;) I think that a faster comp or an upgrade would make the engine work better. Try it out with Realm Wars. If it works, then the Torque Game Enigine will work. Also, try out the demo of the TGE.

Some of our test machines are 800 MhZ with GeForce 2 George. Works great, but not in the highest resolution.

So if I buy the license I can install it on my mac and on my pc?.
What's the minimum RAM and Video RAM TGE require?.
The source code is written in C++. Am I correct?.
Thanks, Again

TGE runs just fine on my Inspiron 8200 and my gf's dimension 2400 w/ integrated video.

When you buy the lic. you get access to the CVS source repository and then you build the source for your target platform whether it be linux, mac, or windows. And yes, its C++ plus some assembly for some of the math. Anyone can download the executables to test on their box.TGE runs just fine on my Inspiron 8200 and my gf's dimension 2400 w/ integrated video.

I wanted to download everything on my mac. I prefer working on the mac than the win machine.
The demo I downloaded on my mac crashes when I run the fps demo. Haven't tried it on the win machine. I'm a little concerned that if I purchase the license, It might have problems with mac.
The emac comes with xcode as a compiler, still learning how to use everything on xcode.
According to the spec for TGE, it only runs on Project Builder for mac, but I think I read somewhere here that it also runs on xcode. Please advise me on this one too.
Thank you very much

XCode and ProjectBuilder are the same product, except PB was renamed to XCode for its next version, coincidental with the Panther release last year.

I think with xcode, there is some lib that needs to be modified if a source was compiled thru PB.
