ATI Moble card lockup with Demo

Anyone try running the demo on a laptop with ATI M7 card? My laptop freezes after running the demo for about a minute. I ran Q3 Arena, suspecting OpenGL problem, and it ran fine with no problems. Any ideas?

um... Call of Duty also freezed my laptop after some time playing(that's why I thought it could be overheating, but I'm not sure...)
Unfortunately, there are no new ATI mobile drivers since last year (at least, not for Fujitsu-Siemens AmiloD laptops). If you find a solution, Kevin, please post it here :)

I have a laptop with an ATI Radeon 9000 (mobile), and torque also freezes my computer, but only if I run it in fullscreen. Not only the demo, but also Realm Wars and my own games. I thought it was because of overheating, but... I've been playing for two hours Battlefield 1942, and nothing happened.um... Unfortunately, drivers are a major problem with ATI. They are unable to write useable ones.I learned the hard way.
From now on its Nvidia.

Well.. our simulation only works properly on ATI cards. It seems something related to how they load textures, as we use tons of them...

I had the same problem, i upgraded the drivers, to the latest release, from your laptop provider! and it sorted itself out
