will the exporter work with 3D Studio max Rev 4?

The original exporters were for Max 3.x. A new set of exporters for Max4 was done by someone on the Forums who recompiled the sources with some modifications and the Max 4 SDK. It is my understanding that the Max 4 version does work but does not take advantage of all the new capabilities of Max 4. There is some discussion of improved Max 4 exporters but that has not yet happened. Having seen Max 4 in action I would say go for it.
