people with TGE demo will have a hard time scripting with tutori

I just realized something. Almost every single scripting tutorial needs editing to the code. That leaves the people using TGE demo out of luck when it comes out...
That kinda makes me glad that even without 3d graphics knowledge i payed the $100 heh. It's worth it anyway.
Anyways just saying...
that's my 2 cents (or less).

There are many compelling reasons to use the TGE Demo as a mod platform. The main reasons are your customers/players do not have to purchase a game to play your mod, you can charge for your mod/game if you so desire, you can make changes to the engine itself to make your game unique.

The demo will be "moddable". Our intention is to grab as much of the mod community as possible. Once we have developers making mods, they are a natural candidate to move up to actual TGE coding. There are many compelling reasons to use the TGE Demo as a mod platform. Or just those of us the have the engine? I guess what im trying to find out , whats going to stop ppl from just getting the demo and scripting there own mods and never paying for anything?
or am i missing somthing here?
And brings another thought to mind, what about doing away with scritping altogether (not saying it should be done with the demo , but with what i produce)

this will be good cause it will make more people came to Torque Engine and the comunity will grow...
And maybe when you release your game people that liked it will be able to make a mod to it...

The reason Torque Mod Central has not been updated in awhile, is cause there has been no modable SDK yet :) so when it is released I would expect the Mod site to be pumping.

With the SDK (demo, no source) my understanding is that anyone can mod it. But like said in previous posts, there will be no engine source code, only scripting. The reason Torque Mod Central has not been updated in awhile, is cause there has been no modable SDK yet :) so when it is released I would expect the Mod site to be pumping.

The next revision of Torque should have more things for us to play with so we can make some tutorials etc. that anyone can use.
