What kind of software to use?

I want to make stunning visuals (also make my own movie!) What kind of software can i use to do animation like FMVs or MOVIEs?

You've got several choices available:

Maya
3DS Max
Softimage
Lightwave
Cinema4D
etc...

The main question is what can you afford to purchase. ;)

Or if you don't have the money to buy the bigs ones. Go with blender. www.blender.org It's free, and comes close to being just as good as all the names mentioned above.

Don't forget Anim8tor or even the reasonably priced Animation:Master.
