Where in the world is Tim Gift?

by Jim Rowley · in General Discussion · 06/09/2004 (1:43 am) · 23 replies

Where's Tim Gift been? Just wondering if there was some news I missed somewhere. Tim's last .plan stated he was going on vacation. Is he still on it? :)

He logged in yesterday. I imagine he is busy. He seems like a workaholic :)

For a moment there I thought you were proposing a game idea, like Broderbund's old "Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego?"

I'm getting way too little sleep at night...

Jay: Well, it would be a pretty nitche market, but, that's fun idea - search for Tim G. in the various areas of the vast GG offices (umm.... should take about 30 seconds ;-), E3, GDC, IGC, etc. :-)

Jay: That was where the title of my post came from, good eye ;) It could be fun ... looking all around for Tim through a maze of vehicle physics tutorials and technical articles, haha

Actually if someone came up with a cool twisted story line that seems to fall into place as you progress (e.g resident evil/half life) it would be rather cool..lol

And game designers all over the world are looking and this thread and making sour looks...

Sounds like it would make a good Where's Waldo book, too. Tim is coming into the office every day, as to what he is doing... even the greatest of mystics have difficulty scrying into his arcane undertakings. It might have something to do with a red fedora or a striped t-shirt.

I still remember some day long ago watching Tim working on a few PC's at once, through his webcam, while he was supposedly pounding on Tribes. Even then I had no clue what he was really up to.

I love these new banners on GG - I'm looking at a killer shot of a marble blast level I want to play.

@Phil: I thought so too, but I've posted enough to this thread so I'll shut up now. :0X

Better Wake this sucker up.

I haven't found a post or resource or Nothing from ol' Tim there in sometime.....

I'm starting to think you guys might have chained him up somewhere and not letting him out to post.

Tim is safely tucked away in our black arts R&D department, but some of his tech sneaks in from time to time!

Sorry for the post necromancy, but we have heard from all the other founders of GarageGames.

I wonder from time to time what Tim is up to.

They keep him chained up in the bowels of GG to keep the world safe.

And today, is Tim alive? Still with us? Still fighting the good fight against evil? i.e. perhaps Sony/Vivendi/MS/etc?

Last I heard, Tim lost it in tribes. He's never been the same....
Meds should help.

Hi Jim.
Interesting we have the same last name. It's not that popular a name.
Edit: even more interesting...we live in the same state. (oposite ends tho)
