We require people to use CVS so that they will always have the latest updates to the source. We are exploring other avenues that are more firewall/proxy friendly, but nothing is even close to ready for prime time. :)

You'll have to find a place to connect that isn't behind a proxy. We require people to use CVS so that they will always have the latest updates to the source. We are exploring other avenues that are more firewall/proxy friendly, but nothing is even close to ready for prime time. :)

Re-enable Proxy.
Repeat everytime you want to update your source.
Or, do some research on various proxies apps, and the reasons why you're using it, and see if you wouldn't be better served by a firewall/router with NAT, as that works transparently with CVS, and allows you to connect your LAN to the Net, etc.

As it seems you have control of the proxy, disable it, use CVS and have the source on your HD :)Re-enable Proxy.

As nic suggested, temporarily bypass your proxy, or alternatively, why not actually download the source at the internet cafe and burn it to a CD?

They arent the ones with the problem Peter, you are. Thier CVS works fine, so you need to figure an alternative way to connect. As nic suggested, temporarily bypass your proxy, or alternatively, why not actually download the source at the internet cafe and burn it to a CD?

The "problematic error message" that you are posting is in fact not an error. It shows you that you have connected properly and that you are logged into the CVS repositary.
After that, you'll need to "Checkout" the module, and logout as you're done.

As Stefan says, "exited normally with code 0" is what CVS says when things are working fine. In the above post, CVS is telling you that you have successfully logged in. Follow the docs, and continue to do a checkout of the source-code. You should recieve it just fine. :)

Note : if you do download it in a cafe or any other public location, don't forget to completely erase your download afterwards, as leaving it there might allow people to update the source from there, using your account.
