Running a duel boot complicates it further for reformats.
Win98 loads faster then w2k and xp. Heh w2k came from win98 with a bunch of other stuff added to it and xp came from w2k with a bunch of other stuff added to it and I get the point, win98 is old.

When i first tried w2k and xp some of my current apps wouldnt work on that format. Did they fix that issue?Running a duel boot complicates it further for reformats.

I tend to disagree, any optimised winXP boot will 'boot' quicker than 98. Yes and i have tested this on 2 machines :)

Sometimes you just gotta make the switch to newer stuff. Bitrot always sets in, and TSE is definitely in the cutting edge section of things. Hopefully XP will be faster for ya - but even if not, it should be nice to have a more modern OS. :)

Windows 2000 will most certainly run better than Windows 98, and also probably better than XP, but it's not as pretty.

The thing is, if the IHV's aren't going to support their drivers for Win 98, then we can't support them either.Windows 2000 will most certainly run better than Windows 98, and also probably better than XP, but it's not as pretty.

1 thing i didnt know was torque compiled under win98 wont run on the xp format (dont know about vice versa).
So win98 is virtualy useless. :)
