Does anyone know where i can get some human reference pics from, just to make some base models for my characters?

I imagine that any camera would be able to help you out. ;)

Perhaps getting a book on anatomy, with pictures, would help?

www2.evansville.edu/drawinglab/ provides a pretty good general reference. Using a camera to snap pictures of friends/family/willing strangers could help out a lot though. Like a writer, it will be good to have a real person in mind when trying to create a character.
