Sharing models , maps and textures?

What does everyone think of a section that we could all upload stuff to for sharing?

Simple Charcaters
Simple Buildings
Levels
Textures etc.

What do you think? Would you provide freebies for the community?

Check out www.gamebeavers.org. I don't know how active it remains, but that's their whole concept.

The membership restrictions might be a problem... I've not joined yet.

You can register a free account, you just have to wait in line.

They have free accounts, and pay accounts without lines.

If you are interested in sharing creative works such as models and textures you should check out creative commons licensing. It could fill the legal void needed to get such a site going. See creativecommons.org/.
