Cant start torqueDemo anymore

Help!

I cant start the torqueDemo anymore.
when i start it and say "Start Mission" and then "Launch Mission" having stronghold selected, simply nothing happens.

Now here comes the problem:

I dont know since when the problem exists. I think it is since the last cvs up, but i am not sure. I am also not sure what version i use, i think its the head version.

well, a lot of things beeing unsure which should make it a challenge to help :)

theres only one thing for sure:

logfile says:
starter.fps/client/ui/startMissionGui.gui (157): Unable to find function createServer
Connection established 1202

Compiled as LINUX/GCC3/DEBUG with gcc 3.3.3 on a 2.4.26 kernel

i did a make clean before compiling and it compiles without problems.

any suggestions?

Works for me. You didn't mention if you changed anything, and that's probably what happened. Stuff just don't stop functioning over the night.

Hi Heiko,

I'm having very similar issues right now. Can you post your console log errors? I'm curious to see if you're getting crazy errors too.

Well i havent changed anything of the engine source or demo app. I copied a few own models into the demo apps data folders to play around with the editor, but it still worked after that. a cvs up shows no modified files.

Ofcourse i keep my system up to date so there are for sure a lot of new system library versions and stuff since the last time working.

Ill give a complete new checkout a try these days, maybe this will help.

I found a few error messages, including missing files, which are not downloaded on a cvs up and i am pretty sure i havent deleted them

Well, this is interesting...

i didnt delete anything so i did a complete new checkout, but it didnt help... after a while i got the idea to delete ~/.garagegames/torqueDemo

and that solved the problem.

it now works again
