I recently heard from someone TSE was weeks away, but that was im pretty sure about a month gone, maybe lil over..I've kinda halted my engine work until TSE came out because i didint want to waiste my time adding or changing somethin thats gonna be effected with TSE, but now that its takin so long, i'm starting to get concered on my progress.. So is there any for-sure estimate on when it'll come out? Be very helpful to me and most likly others too, beacuse as of now my progress is kinda halted by the wait. Thanks!

GarageGames honestly doesn't want to release this beast onto the public until they feel confident that the general population of developers can use it and make something out of it with confidence. If it was out on the market right now they would spend more time answering everyones questions and doing other support related tasks with it instead of finishing things up. So please, just be patient, when it is time for its release you will be notified like the rest of us.

Chances are that even if TSE came out today, it would be a number of months before it was 100% ready for commercial use (then add in your development time). As such the best recommendation that I can give is to keep developing your game and don't worry about the technology of TGE being a crux, because it isn't.GarageGames honestly doesn't want to release this beast onto the public until they feel confident that the general population of developers can use it and make something out of it with confidence. Having said that, EA will be out very soon.

Like Foster says, the EA version is not complete (hence the EA). We'll be breaking stuff as we add and change features. Don't stop working on your gameplay!Having said that, EA will be out very soon.

Well, i had put off major changes because of same oppionion jacob, but know im onto alot of physics. Planning on ragdoll, but im not going to do this till TSE as it will mean a lot of modification, but im doing other physics areas that are easy to move across.

@Westy: all the changes in TSE are graphics wise, so I don't see why you should stop working on physics since porting to TSE will mostly mean changing the rendering part of TGE (or moving your physiscs over to TSE)

Well i dont mean any differnce on each for this sorta stuff, but move the code across (maybe im lazy). :p

Will TSE affect the scene graph and its traversal? I'm working on some optimizations like occlusion culling, which builds on the structure of the current scene traversal. While this will probably still be useful for our project even if TSE changes this part of TGE, it would be interesting to know.

There are some changes to the scenegraph, but they are not major.
