Milkshape Skinning Bug

The newest Milkshape (1.7.xx) seems to have a bug where textures don't show up even if you are applying them to groups correctly like every tutorial on the internet shows.
If you are just learning how to skin, like I am, I suggest using Milkshape version 1.6.6 while you are going through the tutorials so you don't think you are doing something wrong like I just did, for the better part of a day now.
