Bronze Forge Ltd, a Norwegian online game developer and service provider with headquarter in Stavanger, is looking for individuals that would like to share our enthusiasm in leading a game company new-start into significant success and join its global-virtual team consisting of more than 20 members -most of them industry veterans in their late 30s-.
The respective applicants will be part of and work closely with the Management Board, responsible to the General Manager, and be involved in company-level organizational tasks rather than game development processes.
Bronze Forge is currently an "Indie" type project, meaning it has little funding apart for critical investments or low cost contract work. Participants will therefore work either against reimbursement when the project generates an income or ownership in the company. The project recognizes the importance of legally binding agreements to ensure the rights of both the project and all contributing team members.

Job Descriptions

Production Manager

The Production Managers tasks and responsibilities include:

-Organize and lead the activities of the Production Department with the ultimate purpose of goal accomplishment
-Establish and maintain plans, policies, procedures and rules for Production related activities to increase overall productivity and efficiency
-Set and pursuit Production goals and objectives in cooperation with the Management Board; develop, install and apply adequate control and information mechanisms


Communications & HR Manager

The Communications & HR Managers tasks and responsibilities include:

-Organize and lead activities regarding Human Resources and Internal Communication with the ultimate goal to prevent absenteeism and keep turnover rates on lowest levels
-Establish and maintain internal communication channels for managerial needs, channels to increase goal integration, motivation and orientation amongst associates, feedback channels, and communicate company goals and values on a regular basis through newsletters etc
-Set and pursuit plans, policies, procedures and rules for Human Resources and Internal Communication goals in cooperation with the Management Board
-Initiate, plan and control the creation of required HR tools such as job announcements, associate profiles etc
-Organize and monitor training and development programs for team members (in first line mainly RUP and UML oriented training will be of importance)

-Applicants should have a vision about, and creative ideas on how to overcome the handicaps of a virtual team with cultural-lingual diversity, whose members are located in a variety of time zones.
-Personal qualities such as resolve, flexibility and integrity are considered as vital
-Applicants within timezones GMT -1.00 and GMT +3.00 will be preferred
-Experience in the RUP method of software development and the UML is considered as highly valuable
