Stability of the version.

by Phil Carlisle · in Torque Game Engine · 04/19/2004 (12:56 am) · 1 replies

I was thinking. With TSE around the corner and all, does this mean that essentially work on Torque is going to stabilize at the current version apart from bugfixes?

It seems wrong to support both codebases indefinitely, so apart from patches and user contributed features, I'm assuming work on torque is going to basically move to TSE?

Just wondered, because if it is, now would be a good time for me to get up to date with the head, safe in the knowledge that from there, there arent going to be many significant changes and I can branch off and do my thing without worrying about merging with the head anymore.

Not that its a big issue anyway, but it just occurred to me.

TGE is probably going to stabilize for a while. Bug fixes, of course.

We do have plans for the TGE codebase, but for the moment we're focusing on TSE. Now would be a good time to update.
