Programmer required to PORT game to Torque

Hi all,

I programmed a 2D game in Darkbasic Pro . I need this game redone in the Torque engine so that I can have not only a Linux version but I will be able to use the 3D effects offered in Torque.

The initial game was 17 000 lines of code.

I am looking for a programmer who can develop this game with my help into Torque.

All source code is required as it must be approved by a gaming lab.

Should the development go well there are over 6 games a year to develop. Should I get a goot team together we may be able to offer more games per annum.

This is a paid job and I would like only serious programmers to reply.

I require the programmer to give me an all inclusive price.

At different milestones through the project once the deliverables have been delivered we shall have a pre-determined payment amount that will be paid.

This development need to be done quickly.

I need to see previous work done by yourself.

I shall provide a copy of the game and if necessary a copy of the DarkBasic source code.

Another option would be to use SDL.

I look forward to your response

Regards

Peter Lewis

You're going to have to buy a Torque license if you want the developer to give you all the source to the game.
I will email you at the address in your profile.
Also, I'm not sure why you can think the programmer would not need your DB source : to port, you need the original sources...

I will be purchasing the Commercial version at $495 for this project and if a developer does not have the $100 version I will pay for it.

The reason why it might be easier is that there were lots of areas where I had to do some clever maths tricks to make the system work. It was not an easy development and now that the workflow is in a working system it might be easier to follow the code in development. I might be wrong about this but it does cover all the areas where there are bugs.

You must realise in the code I wrote a function to check 40*40*40*40*40*25 combinations against a predefined set. This happened in uSec. I only used 20 lines of code.

These are the little tricks that I had to work out.

Maybe something like this is easy in C++ but at least there is a method you can use.

Thanks for the comments

You probably don't need the commercial license; it doesn't give you any extra features. Not to say we won't take your money, just making sure you know what you're buying. :)
