What to mac users use in order to create DTS objects

by Bruno Grieco · in Torque Game Engine · 04/10/2004 (8:19 pm) · 27 replies

On Mac OS X,

Blender seems to require a complete recompilation.
The lightwave exporter needs v. 7.5. ( I only have V.7.0)
Maya exporter needs to be compiled with codeWarrior, no builds to download.

What should we Mac users use in order to make a simple DTS ?

Is there any SIMPLE way out ?

Bruno

I thought there was an officially and fully supported plugin?

Max 4.2 and 5.1 and Maya 4.5, 5.0 and 6.0 are officially supported. The Maya 6.0 exporter, however, is in Beta.

Maybe i'm missing something, but I'm not seeing the Mac plug-in in the download from that page, only the Mac beta exporter for Maya 6...

I'm confused. What's the difference between the plugin and whatever is in beta?

Well... the Maya exporter for 6.0 is in beta. Does that clear things up?

Here. This is the best source for the exporter.

It's the Maya 6.0 exporter. It's in beta, so it'll change as it gets improved.
