I know this is a stupid question, so brace yourselves... also, if this is the wrong forum for this,f eel free to delete.
Does anyone know if there's a walktrhough/tutorial for compiling and running the PushButton master server?

That looks awesome. But do I have to purchase another indie license for it, after having already bought an indie license for TGE? Can I use the open source license and use TNL to create the master server, but still keep my actual game closed and copyrighted?

You might also find it with the Wayback Machine.

The site is www.pblabs.com/ but everything on the site is 404. You can see pieces of it in Google's cache:66.102.7.104/search?q=cache:UqzLz-0d6VYJ:www.pblabs.com/projects.php+pushbutton+...

I guess we all want to know, if there are any other master server IPs we can add to our games and do they require much bandwidth so we can consider running our own.

It seems that they have gone the way of the dodo, which means that they either died out quietly or were gobbled up by something bigger and faster who wanted their tech.

The code for the master server is still on here, so there's no need for the site really. Here's a link to the Archive.org cached page: web.archive.org/web/20050206141136/http://www.pblabs.com/

I'm pretty sure that as long as you don't sell open source material ,and you give up and code changes back to the author you don't owe them anything. So by that logic you can make what ever you want for a master server using TNL, as long as you don't sell it off and make money on it you should be set. So i guess if im thinking this through right, you should be able to make an MMO Build the master server and keep it your self and just sell the compatible client you made with TGEA, or TGE. Is this correct?

So, how exactly CAN one go about setting up their own Master Server? Can I possibly endeavor to make my own, or do I just go about modding the existing ones?

Has anyone created VC++ project files for this yet? Just checking before I try to do it myself.
Thanks,
Vijay
