Hi everyBody....

He knows the boards are in English, that's why he's starting a discussion on a french alternative...
If you can't even understand what someone is saying, refrain from posting :)
Bonne chance :)
Edit : some typos, and added some text :)

So what Stefan ? It's not the first time someone posts in another language on these boards, and to boot, he's not asking for help, but gauging interest in a french TGE forum for the quite numerous french speaking Torque users. He knows the boards are in English, that's why he's starting a discussion on a french alternative...

I say if you want to create a forum for the French speakin' go for it. I predict it will end up being a bit slow compared to the english forums only due to the smaller population but I think it's a great idea. I'm just curious whether this is suggested to be just a chit-chat thing or an actual source for information for TGE Fred?

There you go, a fast translation, by hand :)

For a nicer translation : Quote:
I have just acquired TGE SDk (as many other French people), and after a meticulous search (yes, yes !!), I haven't found a french forum (implies about Torque).
I'm ready to start one, with your help.
If you find the notion tantalizing, let's use this thread to exchange ideas on how to make it happen as soon as possible.

You went too far there, that's not what this community is about. And thats also why the forums ARE english, so that everyone understands.
Also, I can speak and fully understand the French language, so dont twist my words mate.
I didnt intend to sound rude, I was just honest.
I think I clearly shown that in my post.
On the other hand, if you cant even understand that, please refrain from posting. - More or less quoted.
------------------
Now, I dont think it would be easy to make it organized with different languages. The Code/Scripts are commented in english, the resources are in english, the tutorials are too.
The GG guys cannot provide as good support as they might want to. I dont know, it just sounds unpractical.
My few cents, anyway.
Edit: Okay okay, you *could* translate every single tutorial to french but still, it would confuse alot of visitors..

We're not talking about translating the site, I don't think that's what the OP had in mind, but rather having either a forum section here for discussion in French (which would lead to other languages as I was pointing out in my French answer), or on some other site. Not resources, not tutorials (unless people write or translate them), and certainly not replacing.
The OP cannot express himself good enough in English to ask for help, so all he wanted was explore the idea of having some means for French TGE users to support each other in their own language.
But you knew that :)
Again sorry for coming off too strong

Sorry Stefan, I'm tired, I'm French speaking first, and I apparently completely misread you, intent wise :)We're not talking about translating the site, I don't think that's what the OP had in mind, but rather having either a forum section here for discussion in French (which would lead to other languages as I was pointing out in my French answer), or on some other site. Fred,
[English]
Fred,
Ok. Why not !?[/English]

It's okay mate.
What I meant was not translating the site though, but if you have a forum with people who *can* obviously only speak french, it would lead to alot of confusion for them, IMO - when all tutorials and code comments are in english.
If I were to only speak Swedish, which is my native language.. and if we had a forum that we could discuss in swedish, then it would lead to that I want tutorials too to be swedish, or kinda. Bleh.
I didnt make my point. I'm going to bed. :P

It's a good thing English is the international language of technology. Or I'd be sunk. I know about 11 language but they are all computer languages! I don't even know English! I'm using Google to translate this from my native FORTRAN.
