Antialiasing problems with Torque

by Anthony Lopes · in Torque Game Engine · 04/05/2004 (11:02 am) · 8 replies

Hi, I'm new to Torque and so far I love it. But I noticed that when I turn on antialiasing on my ATI 9800 pro it causes the menu screens to be black except for a small area round my cursor. Is there a way to make Torque work fine with aa?

Win XP

You don't have a license, so you can't do anything about it :)
Turn off AA seems to be your course.
You running the demo ?

Yes, I have the demo. My programmer has the license, so he would be the one coding any fixes. But I would like to know if anyone has info (snippets of code/whatever) he can use to fix this problem.

AA should be switchable on/off from scripts.

Ah, thank you! I'll look into that.

Engine Code is only posted in the private SDK forums. Have your programmer with the license post in there.

Anthony - the problem you describe was fixed quite a while ago with a driver update from ATI. Originally it didn't just happen in Torque, but also a number of other games that either had 2D art or menus.

Are you sure that you have the latest drivers? Or has the problem come back?

Weeird.. it works now.. I think it was because I was originally running an older version of Torque: it wasn't from this site.

I have the new one now.. neeto.
