Antialiasing problems with Torque
by Anthony Lopes · in Torque Game Engine · 04/05/2004 (11:02 am) · 8 replies
Hi, I'm new to Torque and so far I love it. But I noticed that when I turn on antialiasing on my ATI 9800 pro it causes the menu screens to be black except for a small area round my cursor. Is there a way to make Torque work fine with aa?

Yes, I have the demo. My programmer has the license, so he would be the one coding any fixes. But I would like to know if anyone has info (snippets of code/whatever) he can use to fix this problem.

AA should be switchable on/off from scripts.

Engine Code is only posted in the private SDK forums. Have your programmer with the license post in there.

Are you sure that you have the latest drivers? Or has the problem come back?

Anthony - the problem you describe was fixed quite a while ago with a driver update from ATI. Originally it didn't just happen in Torque, but also a number of other games that either had 2D art or menus. Are you sure that you have the latest drivers? Or has the problem come back?

Weeird.. it works now.. I think it was because I was originally running an older version of Torque: it wasn't from this site.I have the new one now.. neeto.

Turn off AA seems to be your course.
