I need help with dedicated servers

When I go to the start menu and I start a dedicated server it appears on the online servers for thinktanks. When i started the server I asked people to come to it. They left the server they were on and shortly after came back saying it wasn't up. I looked and i saw the server i put up. I asked them to look agian and they came back saying i wasn't up. Please try to explain to me why other people can't see my server.

I have dsl high speed internet if that will help.

The Thinktanks forums would be a better place to ask this. Most of the people in this area of the forums don't know anything about Thinktanks.

Do you have a firewall or router anywhere between you and those people? If so, it may prevent you from hosting.
