Complimentary Copies of Games

I was wondering. Is there a mechanism through the Torque distribution system to have gift certificates to the games? Also, if you have an artist, programmer, etc. work on your title is there a mechanism for providing complimentary copies through the distribution system? I know you could just send them a copy with on a CD as the author of the game, but I was curious. It seems to me this could be a very professional approach so they could see where the title they worked on is being sold.

Just a thought,
Frank

P.S. I am just two years away from my first title and I want to get all these little details worked out. :) Hehe.

You can always point them to the web site for them to see where the game is sold without ever giving them a "free" copy.

Personally, if I worked on your game, I would prefer a CD (maybe signed by you and/or other team members) in a nice case rather than a "free download" from a web site.

Good point. Maybe even a limited box set or something nice. But at least a CD with decent artwork and signatures. Kind of like the Woz Apple.

Thanks, now that I think about it, I like your idea better,

Just make sure you write down the cd key and information they'd need.
Although you could also create an account for your friend and purchase it in thier name.
