Top down Terrain View?

by Bob "Colonel_Klink" Watt · in Torque Game Engine · 04/01/2004 (12:18 pm) · 1 replies

I've been looking for a surefire method of placing objects on a terrain that would utilise a top down view of the terrain map in terrain editor. So far I have come up with zilch.

Is there a way/method of going to a top down view without having to use the mouse?

Also on that same topic. Are there key bindings that I have missed that will allow nudging objects rather than relying on the xyz handles that seem a bit quirky at times? I have set the object movement to 0.02 which allows for fine movement, but alignment still seems to be it and miss.
Any suggestions?
Thanks

You could just fly up and look down. :)

Or do something with the commander map resource.

The arrows keys are suitable for nudging.
