Tempest!

I would LOVE to make a new version of this old game w/ modern graphics, particle fx, etc. Maybe combine it with something like Rez? Does anyone know if something like it has been made recently?

Didn't Jeff Minter work on Tempest 2000? It was one of the last games for the last Atari console... the Jaguar? Don't remember it... but I do remember their lame "Do the Math!" advertising campaign.

Ah, the happy memories of my 2600. ;) I never played Tempest or any of its other flavors though. They also released T2000 for PC back in '96.
