Best game idea ever!

You'll be playing a cute animal and you can shoot your enemies with many weapons, punch them and jump on them.
The worlds will be varied: green jungles, blue ice, red lava, yellow desert... And you can collect stuff like gold bars or chocolate cookies to add longevity to the game.
What do you think?
Another idea I have is this cool WWII war game where you shoot people and the multi-player will let you play with friends in teams consisting on various classes: sniper, med, fighter and so on.
I think someone should give me a job as a game designer! :p At least, it seems like all the employed ones are cranking this sort of stuff anyway...

Maybe you know that already, but your last comment suggested that you might not know exactly what a game designer does.
In any case, most game designers for small companies (i.e. most people on garagegames) do something else in addition to game design (e.g. writing or level design). It's just more efficient.
One person just thinking up ideas for one day could keep dozens of development teams busy all year long. There's alot more to game design than just having ideas.
My suggestion is that you join a preestablished team that needs a level designer. Generally, teams that have some sort of demo or at least some sort of plan are the most likely to succeed. If you have some Flash games (mentioned in your profile) to show them, you'll probably be able to find a place in a good team just because you can demonstrate that you've actually made a game.

The idea is only a small part of the game design. You need to design every aspect of the game, not just descriptions of some of the objects in the game.Maybe you know that already, but your last comment suggested that you might not know exactly what a game designer does.

As for the designer's job: I know it's very complicated and multi-layered. Sorry if I gave the wrong impression.
Thanks for the tips. I'll probably follow on them very very soon.

This post was mostly a joke, but the last line does sound as if I'm putting all the blame for unoriginal games on the designers. Obviously game designers don't have much freedom usually unless they are stars (and how many star designers do we have? Not many). As for the designer's job: I know it's very complicated and multi-layered. Sorry if I gave the wrong impression.

Funny though, very funny. You see so many posts like this that it can catch someone off-guard. I don't think most people will understand your humor though.

Don't confuse me like that, man! I'm confused enough in general.
