This is very complicated yet I think would be fantastic:
OK first I am a complete Noob. But that is why you see this post. I am looking for like minded Members to join together to create and learn.
This would be like a 'Indy' creator team... If that makes sense.

First we create our "team" of say 5 members (for example). We meet and talk alittle about our game ideas. From there we each create our own design documents for our own games. Helping each other out through the process.
Next we would focus on designing and creating characters/ and objects for our games. Also helping eachother out along the way.
We would continue this through the game process...

OK to answer some questions..
Im not suggesting creating a single game.
I am not suggesting creating complete games. I think small 'demo' games with 2-3 "level/areas" would be best.

To go into better detail of say stage one:
Each member of the team would have ideas on the game he wants to create. We each start a design document. Is there a design document template you like? Maybe You dont understand what tpye of info your design document should have..
All these things and more could be shared with eachother.

At the end of stage one we would all better understand what needs to be in a desgin document to develope a Torque Engine based game. We would learn what each member of a real team would need in a well documents design.

The same would apply to all stages of development. We would share knowlege and learn what each stage 'takes' to be able to create 'REAL' games. We would understand alittle better what a programmer is doing and his needs same with the artists 2D or 3D.
At the end of this we would be well rounded INDY creators.
Being able to say (for example)" The 3D models for this game need x number of animations, The game needs x types of partical effects."
We may not learn all the details of creating a game, but we will understand the proccess of game creation better and be able to talk to "real" team mebers of our future games alot better.

Hmmm after reading this.. I kind of jumped around alot and I am sorry, I guess I could have made this more confussing than it really is...
Please post any comments good or bad.

BTW- all stages should be documented and resourse like models and code snippets should be given back to all the other Torque members. Since all could benefit from this. (I am not saying everthing we create, I am saying anythign we can give back to help all other INDY's)

Thanks for thaking the time to read this.

Sounds like a good idea. You should post the games as freeware on a website when you're done with them.

Then, if someone who worked on the game wants to, they can make a bigger, better version that can have a demo linked to from the page with the freeware game.

I agree, All demo could be freeware, or a shareware type thing " If you enjoyed the demo please look for the game for x amount of dollars or the game & all scripts and models (for Torque SDK owners) for same price??)
