Ignore Script -- Now Available!
by Mark McCoy · in ThinkTanks · 01/07/2004 (10:01 pm) · 28 replies
The long awaited /ignore script is now ready for download.
This was planned addition to the ThinkTanks 1.2 update. But the recent rash of malcontents has accelerated the deployment of this feature. It has been tested extensively, but may not be 100%. Consider it to be a very late beta. Please report bugs if you find them. Use it and spread the word.
Once you ignore someone you will not be able to see their chat. You will still see others yelling at them though, so spread the word so everyone can ignore them. Hopefully, a yutz being greeted by "has put Ann0y1ngYutz on /IGNORE." from several players will send the message about what people won't put up with in ThinkTanks.
Script and instructions for OSX.
Script and instructions for Windows.
Usage Instructions:
- In the chat box type /ignore or /i followed by enough of the player's name to make it unique to toggle the ignore feature.
Example: Assuming you want to ignore the chat from "Ann0y1ngYutz." Type: /i yutz or /ignore ann0
- Push the i key to bring up a chat box already filled with "/ignore"
- Push CTRL + i to cycle through the names of the players in the game.
- To allow that person's chat again, use /ignore or /i and their name again.
- A person will remain ignored until you quit ThinkTanks or unignore them.

You cannot resist can you? Like I said, don't even refer to "all these things" that you know about me that are bad. I have changed and it seems the whole community accepts this but you. So if you are still carrying around old grudges you need to take some Midol and rest for a few days and stay off the forums. I have made no mention of your annoying habits thus far so step off my back. Be happy and peaceful and just leave me alone. If you are trying to bring back the old ^ it is not going to work.

From your example it looks like upper/lower
case is ignored when typing in the name.
Just to be sure, is this correct?

Yes, it is case insensitive. So "MaDhAxOr" is the same as "madhaxor".

Sure! If you don't mind taking feedback and making changes if needed, let's do it. :)
