My New "Urban Battle" Mod Set
by Nathan · in ThinkTanks · 01/05/2004 (8:36 pm) · 22 replies
A new mod set is out and ready to play on, it is my urban mod set.
Here are some screenies.
A four way intersection in Pituitary City.
A small alleyway leading to a park.
A heated battle, and a flying tank in the top right corner.
Powerup stalls in a building.... powerup stalls?
Leaving the city after a long battle.
Well, as you can see I spent a long time on these, and I look forward to seeing you in my newest mods! Enjoy.

Sorry they don't have roofs. That would BADLY interfere with the camera. I think I'll rename this "Pituitary Ruins".

Like you know, TT was inspired by the classic game Atari Combat. Ever played this game, Nathan? The first video game I ever played (well Pong was before, but was also too minimalist), like in 1980 or something! You had something like 20+ different games on it, one of them was tank fight (1vs1) in 'urban setting' represented by lines. It was a blast I tell you~!
So yes I've been looking forward to see such an 'urban' setting, with blocks, streets, sniping from the corner, etc.

OK! New addition to Pituitary Ruins: The Blue Desert Temple. Here is a screenshot:

You will only find this temple if you discover a way to exit the city, and then brave a long desert adventure. Good luck finding it!

Gorilla. Delete that please. I don't appreciate advertising. The garage games forums will ALWAYS be more active, although that is a good site.OK! New addition to Pituitary Ruins: The Blue Desert Temple. Here is a screenshot:

Hugo makes a good point below & this thread is definitely relevant. You've done some cool mods & I'm looking forward to trying this one out. I removed the PTT stuff but I do think a lot more people should be posting there...

They are fun to play. Goto PTT for a spam free world.

What I would suggest, if I may so, is for Nathan to offer his MODs both on the GG Forums and PTT forums, on top of his own site.
I believe the future updates / versions of TT will be linked and embedded with the PTT site, and the newcomers will mostly be lead there.
Nathan don't delete this post. The community is going through a transition.

Well IMOHO Nathan is a ThinkTank developper, his threads always are proposing new maps, texture, weapons, etc. He's been modding for a good time now, ever expanding the TT game. I don't think he's wasting bandwith here. What I would suggest, if I may so, is for Nathan to offer his MODs both on the GG Forums and PTT forums, on top of his own site.

That looks pretty nice Nathan, I like it. Have you thought about trying to change the textures to make them look like building textures?

I have faith in the Garagegames community. Although it is coughing on Anonymous1's bumps, it can make it through. Someone put water in the gas tank!

Well I know only you would see it, I was just wondering if you ever thought of doing it for your own use since you'd really only need 1 texture.
