#2 I have to admit that at this point I am getting completely bored with the vulgar behaviour in the games. Can't we just play and have fun? Swearing is fine, name calling is stupid. Why does anonymity breed contempt?

I am on your side. I think a bit of swearing is natural, but as I said, Name calling or direct attacks are really stupid and not wanted in the game.

#17 Well, at this point, I pretty much just ignore the cussin' idiots, although I admit there are a whole lotta them lately.

I honestly feel the best thing to do is just plain ignore them, since NOONE curses to that extent without expressly looking for attention. As 56k says above, "Don't feed the trolls" Telling them to shut up or stop only fuels their sick purpose in life, which is, guess what, to ANNOY YOU! In fact, if you're in a game with other players you can chat with, BY ALL MEANS, DO SO. Just have a conversation with the others and completely ignore the troll. Eventually they'll stop. If they don't, and it gets too offensive, then you can always leave too.
Please understand I'm not saying they aren't a big problem; I believe something needs to be done about them. Many previous threads have discussed a possible "MUTE" or "IGNORE" function.
If BT devs are reading, I hope they are considering it seriously.

In fact, I put together a mock up of something I thought would work nicely in how to select a player you want to mute/ignore. Here's a look at what I envision. And no, this is NOT real, just a mockup I pieced together from parts of the game.


Again, if Joe and other devs are reading, pls consider doing something like this in the next rev of the game.

#18 There already is something that allows you to ignore people. it works fine but i dont use it.

#20 Micheal, I will post the finished ignore script soon. Unfortunatly snow is keeping me away from a mac right now, so I can't build the mac version yet. But you will soon be able to make it so that you can not see an individual's chat. :)
