Ok.. Thought I'd give people a little Christmas present and have created a new game type: "Survivor"

You start as the prey (Blue team) and when killed by the predator, you are assimilated and join him on his team to help kill the remaining prey.

When on the blue team (the hunted), you score 2pts per enemy kill.
When on the green team (the hunters), you only score 1pt per enemy kill.

If you are the last surviving green player, you get a survival bonus of 5pts. Then the round resets and all players become the hunted again.

Survivor goes WAY beond Modwizard. This kind of thing requires you to alter scripts which, unless you know what ur doing, can seriously bugger up the game. Modwizard is merely a tool for the placement of objects. Nothing more.

I didnt like Survivor. Most of the time teams are not even, a lot of time people spend
hunting Predator, which is boring. Then in a few minutes hunters team grows
very fast and round ends in a short time. The only fun is to hide on the cliff edge
(to wait there is boring, but in the end it is funny).

Would it be possible to raise the fog to keep people from sitting on the cliffs to hide, I think this would make the rounds go a little faster?

Change hight of die level : in mission file you see:
new MissionArea(MissionArea) {
area = "-256 -256 512 512";
flightCeiling = "200";
flightCeilingRange = "0";
floor = "95";
locked = "false";

change floor to desirable level

The cliffs are higher than a majority of the land. Raising the fog to cover the cliffs will make much of the terrain un-usable.

4 new danger-zone maps are being created especially for Survivor, but until then, the settings will remain.

Cliff hanging is a stratey - though i.m.o. a poor one. There are lots of points available from being out in the field.. not to mention the fact that a smoking green tank is a moving (and shooting) health powerup just waiting to be taken but an enterprising blue.

Your last post confuses me. In Survivor does a Blue prey regain health by killing a Green hunter?

Yup, every time you kill a greenie an angel gets it's wings... I mean, you get a heal powerup. Wich really keeps you fighting if you want to live.

-z- minor question, what about having the survior be the
first hunter (Shark, Fox, ...) I noticed that pred. bot takes
quite awhile to get a kill and it is usally from friendly
fire.

My first thought was to have the survivor be the next rounds first hunter. However, it then occured to me that he/she could just leave and there would be no hunter - hence I introduced a full time bot to permanently fill the first hunter role.

I hadn't considered using the survivor as a secondary hunter at the start of the next round, and I quite like that idea.

Anyone else care to oppose or back this idea?

Meh, it bothers me so that people who lose often try and erase the victor's advantage, even though the tactic is total equal access.

Actually there's a point there (somewhere) I think..

People would want to stick around long enough to score lots of 2pt kills, but would be trying to be the penultimate survivor in order to stay blue for as long as possible the next round..

I often see people leave, then return once they become a "HUNTER".... not really fair... but otherwise, nice mod!

If they leave they lose their score

If they come back in, they will join the larger team, so theres a chance that they will be back on the hunters team by the time they do.
