Exporting Error with Map.

OK I used both Quark and Hammer for this and there are 4 questions here.
1. I exported the Building I built with hammer/quark and pulled it into Torque. i used the Asphalt texture that is in the Evil1 Dir under the FPS in Examples, for the whole building to test.
I placed it and there was no prob. THen I placed it on an incline.
From the outside of the building it seems like there are a piece of the Ground (from Torque )intruding into the building but as soon as one walks inside the intruding ground disapears.
2. Also, it dissapears but my player and bots are walking up the incline of the intruding ground but one cant see it anymore so it seems like they are walking in the air.
3. I tried to create a different building/ interior with Quark and exported it with a HalfLiFe texture ( this was just a test ) and now the building/ map imports but its black on the outside.
What gives??
4. I also get a GBitmap:: Gbitmap: In ordre to extrude Miplevels bitmap w/h must be pow2.

Does textures need to be a specific size?
I have Screenies of this that I can e-mail to let you see what I mean.

1+2: set the patches under your terrain to Empty (same as you would if creating an underground tunnel structure). Go into the terrain editor, and change the selected Action to "Set Empty." Remeber to reduce your brush size so that you aren't chopping gigantic holes in the terrain, and be careful that non of the cleared patches are partially outside the building, or players will be able to fall through them (it is helpful to build your buildings to match width with the terrain patches, or to build thick outer walls to give yourself a decent margin of error.)

@Eric. I got the Textures thing right - so no errors - So it seems anyway. Looks like you where right on the size thing.
and I got the Materials to show yes! Not black anymore.
The other things I still have problems on.

Now, using textures that big might not be the best idea as they clock in at 16 megs each !!! ;)

The limit is now 2048 x 2048 for TGE's Tex manager and has been the case for quite a few months... Now, using textures that big might not be the best idea as they clock in at 16 megs each !!! ;)

3. I don't know. Did you hit re-light? Can you rotate the sun, or brighten either the sunlight or ambient light?
2. Did you turn off "show terrain in interiors"? Or, try flattening the terrain so it's not in it?
1. Same as 2.
