Intermediate Level 14: "Take The High Road"

This is a fun level to try for Gold. It took me numerous attempts to attain it, but perhaps you are more agile than I.

From the start, simply back your marble up and grab the super jump. Activate the powerup(mouse click) and hop(space bar) at the same time. Coordinate you jump so that you land on the pad above. Grab the gem on the pad.

NOTE: There may be some speculation as to whether you should simply grab the gem without landing on the pad, but I found that you can land on this pad, grab the gem and then adjust you marble for a jump to the lower level with enough time left over to still get Gold.

After grabbing the gem, I aim my marble for the second gem and JUMP! It takes practice, but you should be able to land right on the second marble from this height. Once you land, picking up the 2nd gem, balance your marble with the W, A, S, D keys, then roll down following the traditional finish.

The real trick to this level is the first jump, grabbing that 1st gem. That'll shave mucho seconds off the finish time. It's a little tricky to land just right to grab the 2nd gem, but technically, you can land near this marble, grab it after your land, still having enough time to get the Gold.

After the 2nd gem, just practice shaving seconds off the final roll. For example, when you are on the block (that you have to jump on to get the superjump), you can angle your marble just right so you can pick up the 2nd super jump above.

Usually, I have to make many marble adjustments each time the marble lands. These adjustment are what ticks off the second hand. The smoother your adjustments, the better your time. It takes nerves of steel to make Gold as it does in any endeavor in which you intend to master.
