Pet Peeves....

Hey everyone, just a quick question. I'm wondering what your pet peeves are when playing TT. Personally, I absolutley, positively cannot stand camping in scrum games, especially by non-demos. When I see an owner of TT waiting for the masses to come to him at the goal over and over again my little brain sees red. A few names come to mind and won't be mentioned but I'm sure everyone has some people in mind.
I've been playing TT for about two months now and maybe this displeasure of mine will fade in time, but I doubt it.
Any thoughts?

The best thing to do about demos is to encourage them to buy. :)

Demos aren't nearly as annoying as bots. Demos can't hit anything. Bots are a deadly menace. The best thing to do about demos is to encourage them to buy. :)

...that's.....nice.....I guess.....ROACH....Anyway, when i'm playing TT you could say to go take out the trash, an hour later, I would have forgotton all about it, and get yelled at. :(-Michael

Ultimate pet peeve, worse than the drop in theft: that stray heavy bot shell that wacks you from across the tundra just before you hit the greenery. also, Yuri. althought im not 100 percent on yuri yet. he's like in the grey zone between communism and totalitarianism. polar opposites in theory, conjoined twins in practice. we love yuri, even though he eats poop. when replying to this post, please disregard all yrui comments. except fp :).

How many times I've pursued and shot at a tank, finally kill them in front of the goal
only to be blocked for what seems eternity, and watch helplessly as some opportunistic
swine snatches the scrum and scores.
My hard work for naught!

How long it takes for the corpse of a dead tank to fade away.How many times I've pursued and shot at a tank, finally kill them in front of the goal
only to be blocked for what seems eternity, and watch helplessly as some opportunistic
swine snatches the scrum and scores.

I agree about the invisirock. And also about the seeming eternity it takes for a recently killed tank to disappear. One more thing: is it just my comp or does everyone experience a jerky/laggy effect when following too close behind someone? I HATE that!!Cuca

Yeah me too. I just experenced 3 ANOYING DEMO RATS today in scrum killing people, they really said "i own you racer", "KILL RACER" and "Get back here so i can own u some more" They tryed to kill me! There names: DEMO(Doug Owns), DEMO(Bryant) and DEMO(I H8RACER).I still beat them :)

Also, don't forget these favorites:
1. The idiot on your team who steals the scrum from you at the last second when you're about to score. I realize it's the team score that counts, but if I'm not smoking and about to score, clear out of my way!
2. When someone lags out and you dump 20 rounds into them before you realize that they are in lagland (i.e. invincible).
3. On medulla mesa, when the scrum just keeps bouncing off the southwest edge of the map, over and over and over and over again.
4. Idle tanks (see www.garagegames.com/mg/forums/result.thread.php?qt=13815).
5. The physics of the heavy tank. Why is it made of styrofoam and filled with helium? Love the gun-- but if I'm gonna be this large of a target, why not make me truly HEAVY?
6. Playing Think Tanks over the 56k modem on weekends... yeah, yeah, better than watching TV I guess!
7. Not having Jangles, Az, FP, Tally, etc. on your side during scrum.
8. Not having Ben, Killer77, Cowboy, Leopard, etc. on your side during battlemode.
9. During scrum, when people tell me that I'm not the real LC50 cause I'm not in a heavy.
10. Having my wife tell me to quit playing TT and get off the computer. Wait, sometimes that's a good thing! ;)

My pet peeves are DEMOs! I know that I was one once, but it doesn't justify how many of them there are!
Plus, 99% of them STINK. I know I wasn't THAT bad when I was a wee demo! I had a demo firing 2 feet above my head once - and he was in critical condition! *flick*
I suggest that we all resolve this issue by all buying laser-guided mouses.
